AnswerMyQ answers questions using a company’s own information. Before responding, it checks who’s asking, what they’re allowed to see, and which company rules apply. My job was to make that process understandable to someone seeing it for the first time.

The challenge

The starting point was a dense diagram explaining seven steps and several different audiences. There was a useful idea underneath the technical language, but taking it all in at once was difficult. The challenge was to help visitors understand why the checks before an answer matter.

The approach

I built the walkthrough around a practical question about flooring. As visitors scroll, the relevant part of the process comes into focus, with the other parts kept in the background. Each interaction gives them one thing to follow at a time.

The system icon

I used a decorative icon for AnswerMyQ’s proprietary Adaptive Intelligence System™. It powers on as each check completes, making the checks before the response visible and connecting them to the company’s own technology.

Trying another role

The walkthrough tracks whether visitors have changed roles. A brief scroll pause and an animated prompt encourage them to compare answers, so they can see how someone’s access changes both the response and the next step.
